Welcome to Equine Sports. We are a full-service stable offering riding and driving lessons, training and boarding. Riding lessons are available for ages 5 and up. Driving lessons start at age 10 and up. We will also train your current horse or assist you in finding a horse that fits your needs. We have full indoor board available with 12 x 12 stalls. Our facility features an indoor and outdoor arena for year-round riding and driving. We have a heated customer lounge and tackroom.
Equine Sports has riders ranging from age 5 to adult. We have riders who compete in all levels of competition from neighborhood friendlies to Class A shows.
Equine Sports is conveniently located between Linden and Fenton, off Silver Lake Rd between the marina and the airport.
Equine Sports believes that horses transcend the generation gap, bringing the family closer together and raising great kids!

Melissa Boyd began riding at age 3 and competed in shows from age 7 onward. Melissa has been training horses and riders since 1990. Melissa has shown in dressage, saddleseat, western and hunt seat. In addition, she is also a competitive carriage driver for both singles and pairs. Melissa is a licensed judge for both the American Driving Society and the United States Equestrian Federation.
Melissa stresses safety and proper balance for both the horse and rider with an emphasis on having fun while learning. Melissa enjoys working with both children and adults. Melissa specializes in the timid rider and believes that building confidence through riding will also encourage confidence throughout life.
Melissa enjoys playing with her Jack Russels and her Belgian Malinois.

Color is just one of the many lesson horses available at Equine Sports. We have lesson horses to accomodate a variety of skill levels. We also have mini's, ponies and horses available for driving lessons.

At Equine Sports we will cater to your needs, whether you wish to ride with the goal of showing or just for pleasure. All students are encouraged to have fun while working towards their individual goals.
